New York Views

NYC_Dec2008.jpg

Clear skies over Manhattan on a beautiful day in December. With our visitors Carmen & Dirk, we went walking around New York and ended up on the "Top Of The Rock". The observation deck on top of Rockefeller Center offers breathtaking views from 260m above street level. Although it was freezing cold, we spent a long time walking around and watched the sun set over New York. Don't know why, but I had never been to this special attraction which reopened in 2005 after it was closed for nearly 20 years. You truly have incredible views all around, especially to the north over Central Park and the south to the Empire State Building & Financial Center (see pictures above). On a clear day I can highly recommend this excursion to everybody - visitor or local - so nobody should leave the city without having seen it! Seriously.
