Ski in NY @ Hunter Mountain

hunter

A beautiful day early March - a final winter blast of fresh snow and sunny forecast for the weekend! Olaf, Katrin, Markus, Sandra & I are heading up to Hunter Mountain, about 2 hours north of New York City for a last day of skiing and boarding this winter. Alamo was gracious and gave us brand new Arcadia which (together with Olaf's GPS) makes it a very pleasant drive up the Garden State Parkway and through the Catskill mountains. At Hunter we find an ideal mix of sun and new snow, fantastic slopes and much less people than anticipated - why isn't everybody taking advantage of these dream conditions? Well, fine with us - for the first time we actually manage to catch the last lift ride up the mountain and have all slopes completely to ourselves as the sun disappears in the distance…

The perfect end to a season!
