You got to love California: Arnie is governor, the sun always shines and you can ride your bike on the beach. Next to New York, Los Angeles is the other center for the entertainment industry and the city hosts the annual celebrations for film (Oscars) and music (Grammy Awards). On a beautiful weekend in February we got the chance to check out the riches of Beverly Hills, the beach in Santa Monica, the nightlife in Hollywood and the Grammy Awards themselves. Although our seats were far away from the action and we had a hard time to recognize anybody on stage in the Staples Center, the 'afterparty' in the famous Beverly Hills Hotel made more than up for it: here you had the stars and celebrities up close and personal - just like you expect it to be in California! One evening feeling like a paparazzi - isn't that what L.A. is all about?
